The Providence Engineering Society is the parent organization to the local chapters of six different professional societies that include the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, Association for Facilities Engineering, Rhode Island Society of Professional Land Surveyors, Rhode Island Society of Professional Engineers, and Illuminating Engineers Society.
